Dear List members, I am writing to inquire if anyone can asssist me in obtaining a long form birth certificate from Ireland. Several months ago, I posted an inquiry about my maternal grandmother, Susan Trainor, to this list. Several list members, including Claire and Jim, were very helpful and I was able to obtain the information I needed to request my grandmother's birth certificate. I sent my application (with payment) to the Roscommon address in January, but I have never had a reply (or acknowledgement). Consequently, I faxed the same request earlier this month (again with payment), but I have heard nothing. Would it be possible to enlist someone who is in Ireland to make the request on my behalf? I can furnish all of the relevant information (and payment). Thanks in advance for any assistance that can be provided. Best wishes, David Clayton Chicago, IL --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.

Hi, Jacqueline and Dee and all. Would anyone know for how far back these birth certificates might be available, and how much they cost? And can SKS re-post the information that would be required to get them? I guess I missed that! Thanks, Jim C Researching McAleer and Keenan in Monaghan in the 1830's timeframe. -----Original Message----- From: Jacqueline Harris [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, March 23, 2008 6:15 AM To: Dee Cee Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-MONAGHAN] Obtaining a long form birth certificate in Ireland Dee, If it is a Monaghan certificate then this is where you will get one. Jim go to the site: http://www.gro.ie/ For the information you might need. A lot of what everyone wants to ask is answered on this site including information on the history of the GRO and the records held, Local Registration offices etc. and maps of where to find locations of the main research offices within Dublin. slan Cyril Newsome Loch Garman... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim C" <[email protected]> To: "Jacqueline Harris" <[email protected]>; "Dee Cee" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, March 24, 2008 11:17 PM Subject: Re: [IRL-MONAGHAN] Obtaining a long form birth certificate inIreland > Hi, Jacqueline and Dee and all. > > Would anyone know for how far back these birth certificates might be > available, and how much they cost?
