There was an large emigration from County Monaghan assisted by the parish priest, Rev. Patrick Moynagh, pp of Donagh. McCabe is a very common name there. A book on books.google.com is about PEI and the settlers. _Exiles and Islanders: The Irish Settlers of Prince Edward Island_, by Brendan O'Grady. It is a rich source of family history for the north of Ireland. I searched on County Monaghan Prince Edward Island to find this book which is almost all online. Pg 150 mentions Rev. Moynagh. Many from other parishes followed the Donagh emigrants. It also mentions Co. Monaghan Irish that lived in Glasgow and emigrated to PEI. Loads of names there including other counties on pgs 151-2. Read on it is interesting. Start with the Contents page. Good read... The PEI searchable online databases is great for Monaghan and area people.. http://www.gov.pe.ca/cca/index.php3?number=1006228&lang=E Happy hunting... Ann
