Most of the BMD indexes are on the familysearch.org pilot search. In terms of the actual registrations, births for 1864-81, 1900-13, and 1930-55 have been filmed by the LDS, along with marriages and deaths for 1864-70. For other years, you'll have to go through the GRO. You can order from them on line, but I've always used the mail. Diane
