My Farrells lived in York Street, Castleblaney where my great great grandfather Francis Farrell lived. His wife was a Mary McMahon. Their son James Farrell came to Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland where he married a Margaret Legge in St Palladius RC Church in 1851. James & Margaret's 'best' maid was a Mary Farrell; most likely a relation of James. James and Margaret's off spring are many and widely spread throughout the world. For example my older sister Betty lives in Flushing, NY where I note that Mike also lives. Anyone recognize any of this? Margaret Malloy name seems to 'ring a bell'. Did we communicate before? Hi James (or Seamus), I don't have any info to add about your Farrell's but it is a small world to have your sister also living in Flushing! My parents emigrated to New York in the 1950s and ended up in Queens. I'm the only one of my generation to stay in Queens but we love it. With my wife being Korean, we get the best of all worlds here in the most diverse county in the US.
