    1. [IRL-MONAGHAN] FW: Charles McKenna - Emyvale, Co Monaghan

    3. Karen, If Charles Bernard Mckenna was born in 1842, its very likely that his father 'Ross' was still alive during Griffiths valuation. I have checked the records and there is only one Ross Mckenna listed in the whole of County Monaghan at this time, so surely this is him ? This Ross Mckenna was living in the townland of Killydreen in the parish of Errigal trough. He leased his land from a landlord called Francis Kane. To view a copy of the Griffiths sheet and to see a map of the farm where he lived, click on the link below. http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doName Search&familyname=mckenna&firstname=ross&baronyname=&countyname=MONAGHAN &unionname=&parishname=&Submit.x=60&Submit.y=8 Sean www.rooneys-of-roslea.com -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pat Traynor Sent: 19 January 2010 01:41 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-MONAGHAN] Charles McKenna - Emyvale, Co Monaghan My guess is AGHADERRY if your "s s" could be "r r".......... 214 acres, Parish is Errigal Trough, barony is Trough.
