    2. This is probably too early to be of much help, but the given name suggests it might prove useful in future. Terance Boylan, res. Drommore, co. Monaghan [probably Dromore, Clontibret par], 1781 (Index to Clogher Wills) I'm not a Boylan expert. I just ran across this while investigating the suggestion that the Monaghan Boyles were really Boylans -- which is probably not true.
