    1. Re: [IRL-MONAGHAN] Seeking Church of Ireland Monumental Inscriptions

    3. When I started researching my family I didn't know who I was going to find so in my travels I photographed g/stones in ...Clones from 1815, Currin, Glennan, Tyholland, Killeevan, Ballinode, Old Tydavnet, New Tydavnet, Aghabog, Caledon, Clogh, Clonaneese, Tynan, Newbliss amongst others.. In the course of doing this I met quite a few people (with digital cameras) walk around looking for "theirs", these people complained about lack of on line records yet never took any photos that could contribute to the pool of on line data. All the graveyards could have been photographed 20 times over by now if people made some effort. Not everyone lives in or can get to Ireland but it seems that those who do make very little attempt, if any, to make any contribution. The main reason for lack information for Monaghan is the lack of contributors. Being in Canada, I am having a difficult time trying to determine how many and where all these cemeteries are, and in locating any published transcriptions for them on the Internet. If anyone has any access to such records, or knows which ones exist and which ones don't, I should certainly be very deeply grateful indeed. > > > > >
