Carole, I have a Ann McGahey/McGahy. Ann married Patrick McKenna circa 1825 in Monaghan. Their children, that I know of, are James, Ann, Mary and Ellen. Ellen was born 1832 in Monaghan. The McKennas immigrated to the U.S. circa 1847. They first settled in Providence, Rhode Island and later moved to Shieldsville, Rice County, Minnesota. Perhaps there is a connection between my Ann and your Alice?
