The above lists emigrants assisted from the Shirley Estate 1843-1854. My grandfathers name appears and I hope to obtain added information that will help confirm that I have correctly identified him. His name WARD, Hugh, son of Philip WARD and Elizabeth (Duffy) WARD arrived in New York on November 4, 1852. Philip and Elizabeth, my great grandparents originate in Monaghan. My g g grandparents were Thomas WARD and Ophary also of Monaghan. I also notice other Ward and Duffy surnames on this list and may seek more information in that regard later.
