The address: 6 Tully is Theo. McMahon's home and office for the Clogher Historical Society. Annual membership is 20 pounds. For that , you get the once per year book of history of the area. If anyone wants directions on how to get to his office, lemme know. It's on my list of the 'must do' things I do when I get there. But, County Monaghan does not have the Genealogical Centres that a lot of the other counties now have up-and-running. Monaghan is a sort of 'orphan'. I've picked up tour books that do not even mention the county. As tourism goes, it has no well-known 'spots' But, I've stayed in a haunted castle on Hallowe'en and viewed some gorgeous lakes and enchanting towns. It's peaceful and lovely - and you don't have to bend over backwards to kiss its castle. jean
