    3. If your folks were Protestants there are records starting in 1845, if not, then 1865. If you are near a Morman FHC, you can rent the index to births, marriages, deaths and save yourself the wait & the search fee. Once you have the volume & page from the index, you can rent the film with the actual record. My FHC has the indexes and I am going tomorrow, so if you want a few names searched, I will do it for nothing.
