    3. Dear Jack, You must be the only other one researching James JACKSON. Well how great that he had eight children. I had found the James JACKSON & Mary KIDD marriage in the http://www.familysearch.org & thought of the two I found this might be the most likely in Armagh County 3 March 1798. I also found the Christening of a Henry JACKSON 19 Apr 1811 born to James JACKSON & Mary KIDD Clones, Monaghan, Ireland In February of this year I was told of a film #1279354- item #5 of a JACKSON Family in Armagh County. This person was looking for William JACKSON & possiably had a Thomas in her family. In the 1881 British Census I found our Thomas JACKSONs son James JACKSON born 1842 in Stalybridge, Cheshire County (the same place as his sister Alice was born who married a TURNER)& he married a Martha ? They had two children in that census. Charles JACKSON born 1873 & James JACKSON born 1876 and also he had two Stepsons listed William WYATT & Anne WYATT. ===================== Another thing mentioned on Thomas JACKSON & Elizabeth SMITH marriage was that his father James JACKSON was a SOJOURN .(I do not know if they were trying to say Soldier) ====================== Since you told me about Henry JACKSON I did find a Henry JACKSON married to Mary Ann White 18 Oct. 1833 . Place Kilcrow Church, Nr Rockcurry, Monaghan, Ireland. -------- A Christening of a Henry JACKSON 28 Jan. 1854 in Clones, Monaghan, Ireland born to Henery William Jackson & Ellen Jane. ----------------- Our Thomas JACKSON was born according to the 1861 British Census in 1799. Since I think they might have been living in Lancashsire County for the 1851 Census after their Manchester marriage I may try to find that census of them. ======= Also a Thomas JACKSON was married to a Hannah BEALE 29 April 1681. Place, Clery, Donagh, Monaghan, Ireland. ======= Pre genealogy Library book, the following individuals owned one acre or more of land in Co. Monaghan,Ireland during the 1870's. 1. Henry Jackson, address Brackley, Ballybay, owned 51 acres 2. Henry Jackson, address Cara, Clones, owned 737 acres. 3. John Jackson, address Allagesh, Scotstown, owned 4 acres. 4. John Jackson, address Cremorne, Ballybay, owned 63 acres. 5. John Jackson, address Reps of, address Dublin, owned 80 acres. ============ I do not know if we are researching the same James JACKSON & in our ancestors his son Thomas JACKSON. Did your James have a son Thomas around 1799? Thank you for your reply again. This is really all I know of our Thomas & James JACKSONs.
