    3. Sojourner means visitor to the parish . Reply: Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that it meant a traveling salesperson of some sort when I was writing it to the List etc. Why would they put that on a marriage record under Rank or Profession of Father? Their writing is hard to understand. It could be soldier. I've been looking for this 1775-80 born James JACKSON for months and now I really may be in the wrong County. He probably died in Monaghan County, but may have been born somewhere else. This is my reply to the person who I wrote to personally when he let me know he had a James JACKSON who died at his sons home in Monaghan County. After a long explaining of my research in other County's and how we were connected to JACKSON. ========================== My questions to you is did your Henry JACKSON have a brother Thomas? and was your Henry related to Andrew JACKSON USA former president? Our Alice Jackson who married William TURNER is the one who handed that bit of information down about how she was somehow related to Andrew JACKSON.(The former USA President who parents were from Ireland) ======================================== I will leave the list now for I have no other interest here and I am truly sorry for I was honestly researching a James JACKSON, but while I was writing privately to a person thought I would mention the other which I never wanted to mention on a list again. James's son, Thomas, I am sure was also born in another County. Helen & William Turner hbturnso@ucnsb.net USA
