If you haven't already, you should rent the LDS film Index to Irish Marriages for 1848. It will give you the registry office, volume and page on which this record was recorded. Then you can order the film with the actual record which has much more info: occupation of both spouses, their ages, the townland they are from. Occupation of their fathers. The place of marriage, what type of service, and who performed it. (Or you can order a photocopy of the record without ordering the actual film) Good luck, Joan > I thought with some of us researching James JACKSON this was a > interesting marriage registration in Ireland. Thank you for your reply about the LDS film index. I thought I was sharing information with someone else reading this list. Helen & William Turner hbturnso@ucnsb.net New Smyrna Beach, Florida
