    2. I just reviewed LDS film # 0897416 & it was titled, "Register of Clones Parish, Diocese of Clogher & County Monaghan". It sure was interesting, but I believe the records are Catholic records. I found a note in the marriage records of 1690 that said "The 19th day of the month of March, the last of the Protestant inhabitants deserted the town and parish of Clones the Irish possession themselves of that part of the county." If I'm wrong, I apologize & hope that someone will set the record straight.
