My grandfathers name was George Edward Crosby , borne in County Monaghan on August 4th 1856. He left Ireland about 1875 and arrived in New Zealand in 1876. George Edward Crosby's father was Michael and mother was Alice (nee Bigby) Michael was an estate manager in County Monaghan and had six children I think - George Edward being the eldest.
