Looking for assistance of the following FAULKNER line. I'm working on the FAULKNER family from County Monaghan (probably Mt. Carmel and Castle Blaney areas). As far as I know, the family were well to do farmers of the county. There were 9 children in the family; 8 sons and 1 daughter. I know only of Thomas, George, Charles and Eliza. (The rest may have stayed in the county or have also come to California...I don't know.) Thomas was born 15 May 1826 at Mt. Carmel Eliza was born 16 Feb 1842 Charles was born 5 Dec 1844, at Castle Blaney Eliza mar. James HEGAN, 13 May 1880, probably within the county. He was born 4 Jun 1848 at Tattybrack, Co. Monaghan, and had come to CA in 1871. He returned to marry and then back they went to CA. Charles came to CA in 1862. His brothers, Thomas and George were already here. Any interest? I have a likely connection between a FAULKNER family in Co. Cavan to my DOHERTY family in Co. Monaghan. The Doherty family eventually lived in Currin and Ematris Parishes, apparently moving there c. 1800. Have you any Dohertys in your line?
