Patricia: I wonder if your DOHERTY's are any connection to my ancestors? My Great, Great Grandmother was Margaret Jane Doherty (d.Aug.10,1847) and she married (in Co.Monaghan, Ireland) Samuel Bullock (d.1853). I have their marriage certificate. Margaret Jane Doherty had a brother James Doherty who came to Canada from Ireland with her and her family about 1839. I believe they came to Cornwall, Ont. Can. and then onto Kingston, Ont., Canada where I live. I do not know the name of James' wife, but I do know the name of their children: Eliza (married Jim Goode); John; Jim (married Martha Major); and Elizabeth (m.John Raycraft). They stayed in the Kingston area as far as I know. I have the name of some of James grandchildren and great-grandchildren also.
