He was the son of John CHERRY and Catherine Mc COY. So far I have not been able to find any information on the Mc COY line other than this one small fact. As Moses and his family also migrated to Australia (Benalla, Victoria) - date uncertain but probably in the late 1830/early 1840s - there is a possibility of a connection to Alexander and Robert Mc COY. It would be nice to find out if Catherine and Alexander Mc COY were related and also to discover at what school/s Robert taught.
