Thanks to everyone for the help. I am a member of Ancestry.com,have looked in the Familysearch,and cyndis list. We have very little to go on except that from a census,John must have been born around 1835 It states he was born in New York,but the family seems to have heard he came here when he was 3. I dont have much, the family seems to think that perhaps Thomas was illiterate.We dont even know where in Ireland they came from. With this choice of names,how do I know if I have the right one.I was hoping that someone may have access to some info I could use. Also, is Joanna a common name for daughters around the mid 1800's.
