Dear Listers, I'm re-posting this because apparently the list was down last time I sent it. On 10 Aug I sent a query to the list looking for information about the birthplace of Luke John MARTIN of Co. Monaghan, and received helpful advice as to the likely parishes. Thankyou all. Since then I have obtained a copy of Luke John MARTIN's marriage registration (he married here in Canada) which gives his birthplace as Killark, and his age as 26 in 1918, which would put his birthdate in 1892. Also, his parents are listed as Thomas MARTIN, farmer, Catholic, and Mary LAMB. Is there someone on the list who may have access to the necessary records, or who can advise me as to where I should next look in order to obtain birth records? Many thanks, Beverly
