Thanks to Tom's last posting, I have found that "Lisrace" is a townland in Co. Fermanagh. The civil parish is Clones. I have recently found some of my Armstrong ancestors on a LDS film which is marked "Parish Register Transcripts, Par. Church, Clones, Monaghan". Would they have been registered in Co. Monaghan because it was the closest Church ? I'd really appreciate some advice on this as I'm now confused - were they born in Co. Monaghan or Co. Fermanagh ? Thanks in advance for any help.
