www.go.to/draffen Searching for James Draffen of Carrickmacross around 1700. He may be buried in the now derelict Church of Ireland churchyard at the south west corner of the town centre (which may be called St Finn Barre, but I can't quite remember from my last visit. It was raining hard and I couldn't get in) Actually, the Church was derelict but the graveyard didn't look too bad. Whilst there I was chatting to a local chap from BallyBay who was adamant there were Draffen''s still living in BallyBay when he was at school. He made a valiant attempt to find out if anyone else he knew could confirm this, but to no avail (him being from a different side of the tracks, as it were). Anyway, Jack may be interested in that! Would like to get some info on JD as he is my missing link! Next graveyard visit should be in a few weeks. Wish me luck! lol Crackers
