Hi all, I am replying through the list as a few members wanted to know the outcome of my enquiry to Ancestry Monaghan re my DUFFY/BURNS families. Suggested parish of origin is INISKEEN - as baptism of one child was found in the R.C. Parish Registers :- "Baptised 5 November 1859 Mary Duffy daughter of Patrick DUFFY and Agnes BURNS. No townland of origin within the parish is listed. The sponsors were Thomas JONES and Anne MURTAGH" No baptismal details were found for the other two children - John and James due to gaps in the registers during the period 1861 - 1863. The marriage record of Patrick and Agnes was not found -marriage records are only extant for INISKEEN from 1839 - 1850. Anyone else researching these names in that area? Regards Margaret Co.
