Spelling of townlands may differ from those of the original transcription, per J. Masterson. If you cannot find a copy of the Masterson book, the Thrift Abstracts are listed in detail in the National Archives and can be found on microfilm at your local LDS Family History Center. It has been some time since I looked at this book and I am not sure what the abbreviations pertain to. From memory the date is the birthdate, m/nm = married, not married. Not sure about RW and ABS. Carter may have been a waggoner or stable headman, and publican may be a proprieter of a public house, possibly also a tax collector.
