In 1764,COOK, Revd. Dr. Thomas, arrived in New York with about 300 passengers who were members of his congregation. He obtained land in Washington County, NY Each male drew lots for new land. I look for ARMSTRONGS, MCCARTERS. They were Scotch Irish from Monaghan, Ireland. The area where they lived around Salem, Washington County was called Monaghan.
