John Grenham does not list any of the following from what I can make out in his Tracing your Irish Ancestors : 1st Edition which lists Protestant parish records. I don't think you will find many if any of these outside the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland, but at least posting them makes people aware of their existence and the dates covered. If you think that you should be able to find information on your ancestors in any of these parish records and the dates listed here do not cover the period you are interested in then it is best you try and find other information such as estate records, or old books which were written about the area. If anyone has seen these registers, I am interested in hearing about the condition of them - whether the pages are written neatly, whether the film/originals are easy to read - ink faded? What information is contained in each, names and townlands or just names - ages at marriage, parents? Occupations? I will work my way through the various parishes and various denominations from whatever references I find. I would appreciate it if those of you who have viewed any I mention (and this will take a good while) would let me know something about the films as per the questions I ask above. I'm also interested in tagging any LDS film number references on to any refs to film numbers here in the various repositories in Ireland. My abbreviations are: Bapts = Baptisms Marrs = Marriages Burs = burials Vest. mins = Vestry Minutes The reference MIC/ = is to the film held by the PRONI in Belfast. Thanks. Thank you to Ann Harney, Jane Lyons, Pat Traynor, Donna E. Ristenbatt, Patricia Kostelnik for answers, advice and information to my question regarding the records of the civil parishes of Donagh and Errigle Trough. Previous to my query I 'thought' I had the place names of my research all 'figured' out - WRONG - so thanks to these considerate people I will know be searching in the correct places. Thank you - time is precious and I appreciate your efforts! Now, if we can get some answers to Jane's questions below - someone - somewhere must know something . . . .
