hi, re: Did any of your McGurk go to Scotland to live Kind regards jean Hi Jean,I am afraid I don't know much about the family at all.The information I have gleaned come from connections to the house and birth year of the residents of the house.In 1901 OWEN, PETER, and BRIDGET are living at the house with my g-grandfather.By 1911 they are gone, as my g-grandfather had married and was raising a family.I have a record of an OWEN McGUIRK going to New York to his sister KATIE, which would fit.There is also a birth record for a CATHERINE McGUIRK b.1874 which ties in with KATIE in NY.I am not sure what happened to PETER as yet.That is all I have I am afraid.fyi - There is a Rootsweb mailing list for the McGuirk family name which you could try.
