    2. You're unlikely to find church records going back to the baptisms or marriage of John and Margaret, but the Griffith's index on failteromhat.com may give a clue to where they came from, as Griffith's was done shortly after they emigrated and likely shows some of their relatives. There are lots of Corrigans scattered throughout Monaghan, no Crossins, but one Crossan in Magheross civil parish, which also has two Corrigans. This suggests that your ancestors came from south Monaghan. Next time you post, be sure to put their names in the subject line so if some distant relative searches the archives in a few years, he or she will spot your post. They had 5 kids that I know of Phillip born about 1829, Thomas born 1830, Patrick born 1836, Bernard born 1840, and Rosa born 1843. They immigrated to the USA about 1852. ================================= Message Boards: http://www.igp-web.com/boards.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-MONAGHAN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
