My GGGrandfather David King was born, at the beginning of 1814, Drumgoon Parish, Cootehill, County Cavan. This information was given when he enlisted in the army on the 9th January 1835. He gave his age as 21years 0months . I have contacted PRONI and they have searched the registers which they hold from 1802 until May 1814, they then have a gab until 1825. They suggest I contact the Drumgoon Parish Church directly. Does anybody have any contact details for this parish? Sharon (New Zealand)
