John asks: === Is there an RC cemetery near Glaslough where Bernard and Mary might be buried? === John, There is an RC church and cemetery in Derryhallagh townland, about two and a half-miles west of Glaslough village, located close to the N 2 national road between Monaghan and Emyvale towns. There is also a "stand-alone" graveyard at the site of a reputed Patrician foundation in the townland of Donagh just one mile SW of Glaslough. Presumably, there are RC burials at this site as the surrounding RC parish was known as Donagh in the mid-1800's (and probably still is). Mitchell's book lists an RC church in Cloncaw townland, less than a mile NW of Glaslough, but he does not show an attached cemetery. There are quite a few omissions in the book, so I would still check on that location as a possible site. Pete ....................................................
