Re: Monaghan Library have assured me that there are no Tithe Records for Tydavnet Parish either spelling ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have gone through all of the pages on the LDS site that have been uploaded for Tednavet (only 31 in all). It looks like they contain only the listing of the townlands in the parish, and for each of them, the acreage, the valuation and the tithe for each townland as a whole. The names that are recorded for each of these townlands seems to be only those of the main landlord, and do not refer to the residents at all. The only exceptions seem to be townlands recorded as ‘Tunnylone’ and ‘Knock Ballyronney’. This seems to be consistent with the information from the Monaghan Library. James
