Thanks to everyone who replied to my enquiry on the absence of townlands Derrynahesco and Derrynasell West, and for the suggestions and advice. I believe I have accidently just found part of what I have been looking for. In Tednavet I have found ‘Dernahescou’ and ‘Dernasilla’ with only one name recorded for each of them – Hamilton. This name would correspond to the Immediate Lessor, James Hamilton in Griffiths. So it could be that no one was actually living in either of these townlands ~1832. However, finding what I did and they way I found it, means that the actual records for these locations have not been fully transcribed, because neither Dernahescou nor Dernasilla appear on the search list, and neither of these townlands show up when I search for Hamilton in Tednavet. What I found was completely by accident. If there are other instances of this condition, then they too might only be found accidently, because the website doe not have a provision to browse on a page by page basis from beginning to end. In the particular case I have, I would like to see the next page of entries because when I look at the acreage recorded for Dernahescou, it is still less than the acreage recorded in Griffiths even taking account of the difference in Irish and English miles. James
James, you can browse page by page on the familysearch.org Tithes. Just go to any townland page in a parish and you can go forward and backward.
