    3. Krisha, Would you have come across- Patrick Dacey and Bridget Holmes - Peter O'Boyle and Catherine Temlin and their children - Anthony McAlinden and Margaret Henighan and their children - Broderick ( catherine temlin's mother's people) The Kyles and Hillmans came out in the late 1700's so I doubt they would be there If you can find any of these I would be for ever grateful .They all settled in the Ottawa Valley , Canada . trying to find where they came from has been impossible. That she is now recovered and with two children friendless, cabbinless and penniless throws herself at your feet and humbly hopes you'll do something for her and her starved children until Mr. Morant sends her off to her husband..." 1850 April, McMahon, James. 3. Hello I'm researching my father Frank Moane he was born near Castleblayney where his family owned a small property, I remember it being in a place called Inchicore??, but there doesn't seem to be one in Monaghan, the property was sold in about 1956 for 300 pounds after Uncle Paddy died, and it was left to dad, we were living in London England then. Dad died 1973 and i moved to Australia. Does anyone know of Moanes in the Castleblayney area, there were quite a few of them in the first half of the 1900's. Hope someone can help John Patrick Mone Redcliffe QLD 4020 Australia

The Clogher Record is the journal of that society. An index to the Clogher Record is found on the website of the society: <http://www.clogherhistoricalsociety.com> Have at it! Sally M

The italicized passages are from his essay reprinted in the Clogher Record called "Assisted Emigration from the Shirley Estate 1843-1854". The only other information I have is two location names which I do not have the correct spellings for: 'Kilark' and what sounds like 'Cool-dairy' (the place of birth was given to me by a relative as Kilark, 'Cool-dairy', Carrickmacross, County Monahagn) As well, it is possible that the forenames are reversed - Luke John MARTIN. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance. Beverly in Victoria, BC, Canada ============ There were about 55 Martins in the Donaghmoyne parish Tithe index of 1823. COOLDERRY is a townland in that parish, which is just north of Carrickmacross. KILLARK is a townland of 172 acres in the parish of Magheracloone, south of Carrickmacross, in the Farney barony. I have a Gaelic football history book of Donaghmoyne parish and surrounds, and some Martins were mentioned as star players. If you wish I can e-mail you the Tithe list, and will try to find a Luke M. around that time frame, in that book. Patrick Traynor, in California's gold-rush country. tray@jps.net
