    3. Hello Everyone: I would like to research the Parish Records for Clones, Monaghan, Ireland for the period 1795-1820. Can anyone tell me if these records are available on microfiche, and can they be purchased? Also, it would appear that the only Church during that period would have been the Church of Ireland. Can anyone confirm that fact? Thanks in advance..... Dennis Galley, Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada.

    3. Yes , thank you very much. I'm sure she is related but until I can find some more details on John Short and his family, I cant connect yet. I have been trawling through the RC church records for Co Longford at the local LDS library. I order the film 4-5 months ago and so far I have found the burial of Samuel Healy who is Mays father in Ph Edgesworthtown (now Mostrim). Cant sight her birth or the her parents marriage yet.... I haven't found Judith or Catherine Short in OZ so far. What would the 'Corerreagh' mean? 3. Hi Paula: My gr.grandmother, Henrietta Lindsay JOHNSTON, was born in Co. Monaghan about 1845 (got this info from the 1911 census in Armagh) Father was Walter Porter JOHNSTON. Possibly had a brother called Edwin Wyndham JOHNSTON. They were not Catholic but Presb. or Church of Ireland. I have been unable to locate a birth for Henrietta or a marriage for her parents (do not know mother's name). Do you think your book would help me out? If so, please let me know the cost to send to British Columbia, Canada. Thank you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Paula Mcgeough <pola5@gofree.indigo.ie> To: <IRL-MONAGHAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2000 1:29 PM Subject: [MONAGHAN~] Local History Book Muckno, Castleblayney , Co Monaghan > i have recently written a history study of the Muckno > Parish, castleblayney > in Co Monaghan > includeed are the townland names and cemetery inscriptions > from 5 > graveyards > rental lists 1861 from 52 townlands and local folklore > if interested email me > Paula McGeough > > > > ==== IRL-MONAGHAN Mailing List ==== > 3-Be very careful if you discuss an individual who is still alive-- > don't reveal that persons' last name, their address, their birthdate > or any other information about that person that would compromise > their absolute right to privacy ! > >

On arrival in Oz in 1863, with new wife, Mary Hely (from Co Longford), he stated his trade to be a Cordwainer(Bootmaker). Maybe his father taught him this trade. I keep asking cause somebody sometime might just come acress them! 3. I am seeking information regarding my g/grandparents and family. Joseph Archibald married Ann Jane Lundy at the Presbyterian Church, Corvalley, County of Monaghan, February, 1873. Ann Jane was the daughter of Richard Lundy and Lydia Mitchell; Joseph the son of George Archibald. Their children (in order of birth) Lydia, Joseph, George, Charles, John, Leticia, Christina, Arnold, David, Samuel. Here's hoping that someone may have some knowledge of this family David Granger South Australia

    3. Have you gotten the marriage record from the civil registry? They are indexed each year and available on microfilm from LDS. Once you have the liber and page you can get the actual record which will include spouses ages, number of marriage, occupation, townland, father's name, father's occupation as well as church and type of service and person performing the marriage. Well worth the effort if you don't already have this info. Joan granger wrote: > I am seeking information regarding my g/grandparents and family.
