    2. Pat Connors
    3. The following civil parish tithe applotments have been added to the County Monaghan section of my website: Errigal Trough, Currin and Clontibret. Between the three, over 4,000 names have been added. Please read the transcription notes carefully for each to see what problems I encountered transcribing them. Thanks go to Dave Sherry for supplying the images of the tithes. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento, CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com

    3. I have just uploaded images and text from the Graveyard Map at Old Tydavnet Graveyard. It is impossible to get much closer to the signs so the text is our best effort to read the names and dates. The photos were contributed by Jack Storey. To take a look go to: http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ Click on MONAGHAN and then HEADSTONES. *We really appreciate our contributors and volunteer transcribers!! ===============================

    2. Hi, Am looking for any info I can find on the marriage of my great-great-grandparents James Sinnett to my great-great-grandmother Mary however I do not know her maiden name. I know they had a son Michael who married another Mary who immigrated to the Americas by 1860 as I have found them on the US census record in Virginia. They had at two offspring Michael Sinnet and Mary Alice Sinnet but that's all I have at the moment. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Supposingly one of the Mary's above has a last name of Crawfis or Crawford. Not sure if it is James wife or Michael's wife. Pat

    1. Re: [IRL-MONAGHAN] CLEGHORN family Tedavnet, Monaghan
    2. Jack, the familysearch pilot search has several entries for Cleghorn in Clones, Monaghan, which is next to Tedavnet. Aghabog is not far away, so likely there were connections. Your best bet for that time period is church records. I'm guessing from his name that George was Protestant. The LDS haven't filmed the Tedavnet or Aghabog Church of Ireland records, but they have filmed Clones. You might check that film. I know there's a repository of CofI records in Dublin. Maybe someone else on the list can steer you to that as a way to check Tedavnet and Aghabog. Diane

    3. Hello, I have just joined this list in the hope of finding more about the above family. I am researching George CLEGHORN who was born according to his military discharge papers in Tedavnet, Monaghan. Census documents put his birth about 1789. The 1796 Flax Growers list for Monaghan shows a Charles CLEGHORN, at Aghabog and I wondered if there might be some connection. Family resaerch in Ireland is completely new to me, so if you can suggest what sources might be available that would be wonderful. Thanks, Jack
