If anyone comes across members of these families--especially if married to one another--I would appreciate any information you can provide. Some of the Gossins at least came from Stamullin and possibly from Kilmoon Parish. They were Catholic. Seven Gossins emigrated together in the 1820's and probably landed first in Canada and then just walked across the border. Five of them appear on the 1830 census in Utica, where they are reputed to have worked on the Erie Canal. My great-great-grandfather, Patrick Gossin, married Catherine Hart, whether in Ireland or in New York I do not know. Thanks. Nancy Gray
