Hi Everyone I have just received the army discharge papers for James Cooke NUGENT who gives his place of birth as in or near Oldcastle Kilbride c 1748/9 Please can anyone tell me what PR's are available for that time? I don't know what denomination he was but I don't think he was Catholic or at least his children did not marry in Catholic Church's after they had moved to London. At one time James was in the Meath Militia- where can I find their records if they still exist? I am new to research in Ireland - where do I start? And finally is anyone lese researching the NUGENT surname in this area? many regards MOIRA
