I'm looking for the families of my ggrandparents PETER CALLAGHAN& JANE MCDERMOTT they were both born in Meath. PETER came from Kilskyre, Meath, JANE came from Kells, Meath. PETER was born June, 1858. His parents names were Philip Callaghan& Anne Sheridan. I know he had at least 1 sister MARGARET born Aug.26,1869. Jane was born Sept.18,1864. Her parents names were Matthew Mcdermott& Bridget Sully. Jane had 16 siblings, I know a few of her siblings names. Kate born Aug.24,1866, Bridget born Feb.9,1869, Anne born June4,1871. Peter & Jane immigrated to Phila. and married in Sept.1889, in Phila. at St. Agatha's Church. They had 3 children Anna, John, Thomas(mygrandfather). I'd like to know if anyone knows of their families. I heard through family that some of Jane's family stayed in Ireland, some came to America, and some went to Austrailia. I don't know anything of Peter's family.

Hello: My name is James P. Barnaby, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canad I saw the mention of Anne Sheridan....I have a Sheridan line from Co. Meath and was wondering if you could tell me Anne Sheridan's parents or any siblings. My ggg grand-father was John Sheridan who was born in Co.Meath Ireland in 1800.....I know whom he married and that he arrives in Halifax with his wife and first 3 children around 1836.....there were 11 children in all but the others were all born here in Nova Scotia.
