Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can find the family of my ggrandmother Jane Mcdermott she was born in Kells, Meath on Sept.18,1864. Her parents names were Matthew Mcdermott and Bridget Sully. I know she was 1 of 16 children. I know a few of her siblings names. Kate, Bridget, Anne.I sent for her baptismal records and I also went to the LDS FAMILY CENTER. I heard through family some stayed in Ireland, some came to America, and somw went to Australia. Does anyone know of her family? Or can someone direct me in the right direction . Any help would be appreciated.

When I returned form Turf cutting this morning, and stoking the fire, placed the kettle on the hob, to boil, and cranked up the generator, I saw that you were indeed searching for some realistic things in Ireland like ancestors.......so I thought that these two may fit the tree you are researching. And indeed McDermotts did come to Australia the land of Kangaroos and blow flies, and generators, candles torches and laptops......... We even have a new pipe line installed with gas being hooked to the houses, I am so happy about this, means that I wont have to go turf cutting anymore, or crank the generator, and maybe that old plane I have out the back will fly again .......
