Please folk this is getting a little beyond control letters to Bishops and cross purpsoes about delayed answers ......this is not good enough... The people you are dealing with are IRISH for heavens sakes take it from one who knows it takes them a litttle time to get things done and you could wait from one week to one year this I know___ I have worked with the very same people you are talking about........but eventually a letter arrrived. One step at a time you must be aware that this is the busiest time of their year its the summer time no matter how awful the summer is there it is summer the amount of American Australian etc tourists that are there now researching their ancestors have put a monumental task on their staff .........they do not increase it because it summer as like all places that are gene places a lot are run on voluntary basis...... It took the Meath and Cavan people seven months to get back to me/ eventually but they did it takes the Wicklow County Heritage Center up to a year sometimes to assess you their back log is imense and also the staff is small. What I see as a problem in most of these places is a staffing problem. The other thing I need to point out to you all is this ........we expect our information yesterday not tomorrow and because we have the time to sit here writing emails and swapping ideas they indeed are working people ( not that I am saying that there are not amongst us here working people no offence meant there).......... So folks instead of deciding that someone has taken you money and are ignoring you adopt the Irish way of life and just ease down and wait now if you havent received anything as in Pauls case in a few weeks its time to write a meaningful letter to the person he sent it to as he may well have passed it to a very over burdened worker who is right this minute hunting details .........in a back room while the front door bell is ringing and the liune is growing......... Have any of you ever gone to the BDM in Dublin and gotten a certificate I have the line just keeps on growing for blocks .........so imagine what its like when a tired little worker suddenly appears at her desk and all these mails are there all wanitng a certificate a look up advice and her pile of mail keeps growing ,,,,, Sorry folks have held you up long enough just wanted you to be aware what its like in Ireland NO ONES in a hurry but I love them all dearlyu Cara
