Hi Bryan, I live in Phila. Pa. I was in the 90's today. My ggrandparents were both from meath my ggrandfather was from Killskeer or Kilskyre not sure of the spelling. My ggrandmother was from Kells. Hi Eileen and the rest, I was there two weeks ago and all the road signs read "KilSKEER", and it is depicted as such in Irish Ordnance Survey map No. 13, a remarkable document that shows a small lake at Knocklough Crossroads that nobody can ever remember seeing. BTW, I have a small collection of photos of Oldcastle which I can send to anyone who'd like to see what the old place looks like. They include the Naper Arms pub into which I was dragged screaming against my will and there forced to drink some form of beverage known as "the black stuff".
