Do you also mean the local parishes won't answer queries? I sent for baptismal records for both my ggrandparents and their families. If i do get a reply do have any idea how long it would take to get a response? Or please direct me in the right direction. Thank You, Eileen

I wrote to the local parish at Navan for information on the marriage of my 2 x gt grandparents William HOLMES and Margaret ROSS, I even had the exact date and only wanted to know if their parents names were given. I never got an acknowledgement. Some months later my cousin went there from England and even spoke to the same person. When she said I had written asking for info, he just shrugged his shoulders. So don't hold your breath!
