    2. To: BRITGIRLP. Go to <www.seanruad.com>, input Meath and search by townland. You'll find both a townland and a town named Moynalty. There are no entries for Moyoally, Monalty, Mognalty. Moynalty, Meath is located southeast of the town of Virginia, Cavan. Hope this helps, Tom.

    1. Re: [MEATH] Looking for Keane
    2. I am not sure if you have tried this, but Google.com is a good search engine. If you put moynalty, meath, or even Monalty in the search box, you get quite a few hits. There are some Keanes listed if you add the name to the search, but I think most are lving people. Good Luck with your search Ken inVA

    1. [MEATH] A New Web Site: The SIlver Bowl
    2. Sharon Oddie Brown
    3. Greetings all, I am finally ready to announce my first ever genealogical web site. www.user.dccnet.com/s.brown/ I think I have many of the wrinkles ironed out and as well have enough information added in to make it useful. There are literally hundreds of names in this site - so I won't attempt to list them here. For the most part, the families came from Presbyterian and Church of Ireland families (if that information is of any help to you). I have tried to complement rather than duplicate the information which is already available thanks to the dedication of others on other sites. The photographs are all in black and white as I am trying to keep the size of the site beneath a specified maximum. Since this is my first attempt at site design, it is deliberately pedestrian (the fewer bells and whistles - the fewer mistakes). Still, I think it is reasonably pleasing a layout. I have already posted more than 60 biographies (not yet polished writing - most in early draft form). Some of them are quite brief while others stretch to a dozen pages or more. In time, I will enter more hyperlinks so that you - the reader - can click back and forth between generations and such. There are hundreds of pages of letters hyperlinked to the letters page - all footnoted so the reader has a reasonable chance of figuring out who is who (although, I could be wrong on a few of them - this is as much an art as a science). These letters are invaluable for shedding light on the intertwined nature of our family relations in the late 19th Century as well as some of their personal and business dealings. There are also family trees, documents and other bits of history. Much much more is to come. If you find this site helpful, I would be interested in hearing from you (you can email me from within the site). If you encounter problems on the site and have suggestions for how I can do things better, I will be all ears. I still want to install a search engine as well as a counter for how many visitors there have been. Because I am using this site frequently myself as a reference tool, I have opted to have it on an ad-free server. There are advantages and disadvantages to this, but for now it is what I am trying. Enjoy, Sharon Oddie Brown Roberts Creek, BC, Canada [email protected] www.user.dccnet.com/s.brown/

    3. Hello Josi, Sorry I have mislaid your email address so I will answer you on list. I searched in Tasmania for your Michael and could not find him on any Electoral Rolls or Pioneers list. I also searched the Irich convicts list that was given to Australia in 1988. I will tell you how to find that. SearcH with Google for Irish convicts Australia Then click on the one with NAI:Transportation of Irish Convicts to Then you will be able to have a look as well. There were seven Geoghegans on that list. Tell me why you think Michael went to Tasmania? Could he have gone to another State? I go to the library every Thursday so I can look in N.S.W. next week if you like. Regatds Mary
