    2. Hi Pete, Thanks, this helps a lot. This means that it is plausible to be from Rooghan on Griffiths, but to be 'from' Kincon on church records. If I look at askireland.ie, and look at the the Griffiths map, the plot of land that my 2ggfather lived in seems to just into what is Kincon now, so maybe borders have shifted ... The RC church in Kincon is just a half-mile south of the Rooghan border. Rathreagh townland borders Kincon to the NE of Kincon. In fact, Rathreagh and Rooghan are separated by just a half-mile, representing the townland of Carrowkeel. Pete ....................................................
