My Great Grandpa's father Patrick Fallon was born in Mayo County. When he got married in England he changed his name to McFallon. There's no concrete information about his family in Ireland, but I think I found a connection in the 1901 Ireland Census. (By 1901 Patrick was already residing in England with his wife and children) Patrick's first born son is named Neal, and his first born is named Mary. These names do not show up on his wife's side of the family. In the 1901 Ireland Census, there is a Neal and Mary Fallon who are at the proper age to be his parents. Those are the only Fallon's in Mayo county that have naming patterns that correspond to Patrick's Family. The question I have is this: I'm not finding a Neal Fallon in the Griffith's Valuation. I know it may have been done in the early 50's, but according to the 1901 Census he was born in 1836. Why would that be? Also, is there any way anyone can come up with for me to trace this more? Patrick was born in 1859 so I'm kinda stuck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
