Maria was also born in 1844 (her parents were born in Ireland). Her age at time of death is 77 yrs. They both would have been around 13 yrs of age at the birth of John in 1857..I don't believe we are researching the same Thomas and Maria..........drats!!! Niagara Falls records are few and far between and I have not made any progress for a very long time...maybe we will make a connection yet, I sure hope so. I have not been able to find the 1860 and 1870 census records you mentioned. May I ask where you found them?
