Author: liscard46 Surnames: Jordan Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.may.general/8502.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Louisburgh is in the parish of Kilgeever in Co Mayo.The Griffiths Valuation list shows a James Jordan and a Michael Jordan living in the Townland of Carrownisky.The only other Jordans in Kilgeever were in Bridge St,in the Town of Loiusburgh these were a William Jordan the other was a Michael Jordan. Looks like Jordan is not that common a name in Louisburgh,by 1901 cencus the only familys are in Carrownisky,you can see them listed in the National Archieves of Ireland Kilgeever Parish.
