Mayo, some of whom changed the spelling to Burns. I wish to offer this person a free DNA test to be used to trace the origins of this family, the earliest known members of which lived in Castleconnor parish in the late 1600s. I once was informed that there is a Burns descendant of this family still living in Erris, and another person said a descendant now is living in California, but I am unable to recontact either reporter. I will be in Ireland in May and am anxious to find out once and for all if there is such a person in Erris (or elsewhere in Ireland). If anyone knows of a Bourne(s) I could test, I will be grateful.
