FYI - Henigan's Heritage Centre is located in Rubble (I visited there last April) and there is a chance that someone there may know your family name.... the Hennigans have occupied that area for generations. They may be able to put you in touch with the current Kennedys in that area - they were able to suggest some local people to talk to regarding my relatives who lived in Killasser a few generations ago. They have their own web site and are on FaceBook, etc. I don't know if it is okay to give the web address - there is no fee online or anything like that, but if you visit, you make a donation in whatever amount you choose if you take the tour that they provide. If your family is/was Roman Catholic, the Killasser church may have some records-depends on the time period.
